Dr. Arnel Onesimo O. Uy has held senior appointments at Ramon V Del Rosario College of Business at De La Salle University. Amongst his senior appointments have been, Chair, Accountancy Department; Chair, Business Management Department; Director, Graduate Studies of College of Business and Economics and Vice Dean, Research & Graduate Studies. He was also Chief Compliance Office, and Chief of Staff at the Office of the President and Chancellor of De La Salle University. In is academic career, he has authored numerous research and conference publications in prestigious journals and conference proceedings.
Dr. Uy has been highly involved in providing his expertise to the community, holding and having held a number of Commission on Higher Education appointments; such as Chair and Member of Technical Panel, Technical Committee on Accountancy, Office of Program Standards & Development; National Capital Region Member, Regional Quality Assessment Team; Office of Programs & Standards Development of Accountancy; and Member, Technical Panel for Business and Management Education.
Dr. Uy is currently President of Meridian International Learning Experience Inc., an innovative and multi-intelligence learning institution. His prior positions in industry have been with Shell Philippines Exploration, B.V. and Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation, where he held various positions in the Finance Division.
Dr. Uy holds a BSc (Accounting) from De La Salle University (Graduating Magna Cum Laude); Master’s in Business Management (MBM) from the Asian Institute of Management, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Business (PhD) from De La Salle University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA); Certified Management Accountant (CMA) from the Institute of Certified Management Accountant, Australia; and a Certified Financial Consultant (CFC) of the Institute of Financial Consultants, USA.
