Mr. Jose Jerome Rivera Pascual III is CFO, VP Finance and Treasurer at Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation. The previous senior positions he held was Finance Director and Country Controller of Shell Philippines Exploration BV; Finance Director of Shell Deepwater Borneo Ltd., Brunei; Deputy Business Finance Manager and Caspian Country Controller, Kazakhstan of Shell Kazakhstan Development BV; Regional Treasurer and Head of Insurance, Shell Exploration & Production – Asia Pacific; and Treasurer; Head of Tax and Insurance Shell Philippines Exploration BV.
He has had a leading role in management accounting in the Asia-Pacific Region. He was Head of Management Accounting at Shell Philippines Exploration BV prior to his senior finance roles. Currently, he has overall responsibility for developing the company’s financial strategy; risk management and controls assurance; corporate governance; planning and budget preparation. Mr. Pascual III promotes value-based decision making in the company, and provides risk-based financial and commercial insight on growth opportunities focusing on business value and robust cash generation to achieve short term and long-term objectives.
Amongst his many organisational affiliations are: President of the Judicial Reform Initiative Inc., Philippines; Member of the Management Association of the Philippines; Member of the Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines; Corporate Representative of the Integrity Initiative, Inc. in the Philippines; Member of the Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers, and Member of U.P. Engineering Research & Development Foundation, Inc. in the Philippines. He has won many awards and citations including the CFO of the Year from ING and the Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines in 2014; and a Professional Degree Award for Industrial Engineering from the University of the Philippines College of Engineering and U.P. Alumni Engineers in 2015.
Mr. Pascual III holds Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering (cum laude) from the University of the Philippines – Diliman and is a Professional Industrial Engineer certified by the Industrial Engineering Certification Board in the Philippines. He has undertaken executive education in the Shell Group Business Leadership Programme at INSEAD; and the Professional Directors Program of the Institute of Corporate Directors, Philippines.
He is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) of the Institute of Certified Management Accountants (Australia).
